Tier 1 Civilian LLC
CHAPTER 1/ PREAMBLE
The Protectors Club was founded in June 2022 by Alex Caillat MD as the operational complex of Tier 1 Civilian LLC.
OWNER/OPERATOR/INSTRUCTOR
Dr Caillat is a board-certified urologist and gun enthusiast who has had a wide variety of firearms training and experience in 3-gun competitions. Alex loves learning from and interacting with current and former law enforcement as well as operators from both the Special Forces and Special Operations communities. In addition to being a full-time surgeon he also loves tactical and combat casualty care medicine and has trained with SOARescue in Concord, NC. He is currently a certified NRA instructor in Pistol, Rifle, and is an NRA Chief Range Safety Officer.
LEAD FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR
As a U.S. Marine, Nathan Groome did two combat tours in Iraq and received the Purple Heart for wounds received complements of an Iraqi IED. After graduating with a BA in History from UNCG, Nathan did some contracting work for a large bank located in North Carolina. Nathan enjoys giving back to his military roots by working in a civilian capacity with Special Forces candidates several times a year helping them in their mastery of unconventional warfare. He is currently a certified NRA pistol and rifle instructor as well as a certified Range Safety Officer.
Tier 1 Civilian LLC was founded to fill a current widening gap in our communities. Lawful citizens have the right and freedom to bear arms in the great state of North Carolina thanks to the United States Constitution and the Bill of Rights as enumerated by our forefathers. They also have a duty to themselves, their families, and their fellow citizen patriots to be able to wield these tools in a safe and skillful fashion. This will not only allow them to use firearms for recreation, but defend themselves and their loved ones in a responsible way.
Our goal is to disseminate the knowledge, skills, attitude, and safe handling techniques which we have learned via our diverse backgrounds to our fellow patriots. We want our community to be well armed with not only firearms but also the safe gun handling techniques to be true Tier 1 Civilians.
The outdoor range facility is located in Guilford county south of Greensboro and near High Point and Archdale. It is a 360 degree outdoor 50 meter range facility which is built to strict NRA specifications and allows for standard flat range work, as well as more advanced training such as vehicle operations and can accommodate a mobile modular shoot house.
